Butt Prints in the Sand

One night I had a wondrous dream,
One set of footprints there was seen,
The foot prints of my precious Lord,
But mine were not along the shore.

But then some stranger prints appeared,
And I asked the Lord, “What have we here?”
Those prints are large and round and neat,
“But Lord they are too big for feet.”

“My child,” He said in somber tones,
“For miles I carried you alone.
I challenged you to walk in faith,
But you refused and made me wait.”

“You disobeyed, you would not grow,
The walk of faith you would not know.
So I got tired, I got fed up,
And there I dropped on your butt.”

“Because in life, there comes a time,
When one must fight, and one must climb.
When one must rise and take a stand,
Or leave their butt prints in the sand.”

sooo apropriate for the dimwits in our society today,,, i agree with it totally.
GOD helps those that help themselves,,,, but suffers not fools that think GOD (and others) OWE them !!!!!

Please do. I do not remember where I found it and I do not know who wrote it, but I find it very apropos of our society today.

My message in church today was regarding the duty a Christian is under to get UP, get OUT and GO TO WORK for the kingdom!

Put on the whole armor of God, and having done all, to STAND.
On this mass of rock (people who listen to and are guided by God) Christ built his church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. Note that gates are a DEFENSE not an OFFENSE; that means we Christians are to be on the ATTACK, we are to STORM those gates, and we will overcome them.

Man, this poem fit in PERFECTLY -
