Being a big Vette lover myself I have to say I do not care for the looks of the C7 from the rear. It looks great from all other angles though.

I've seen it. I hate the rear end. Looks bad. Too much like a Camaro. Everything else is awesome.

What on earth have they done to my beloved Corvette? I have a C3 and a C4 in the barn. They don't get out much these days (I'm retired on the farm now), but they WERE dailly drivers. Looks like those will be my last ones.

![]() ![]() As for the little 62, she belonged to my Dad. He bought her in June of 2007 and drove her one time to a car show 60 miles from my house and back. I lost Dad 2 years ago and decided never to sell the 62. I had a tire come apart on her about a year before Dad passed away. It took a chunk out of the left front fender. Dad kept putting off getting her fixed and after he passed away I called and found out that she was still insured so I took her in to the body shop. They had to repaint the whole car seeing how the paint was faded just enough that it could not be blended in. I will find some more pics of her and post them up for you to see. She had 1400 miles on her after a restore when Dad bought her. Now she is setting on about 2600. We drive her in good weather and have hauled her to several shows.

you could bring that '62 here to the Moore Car Show in Idaho next summer - it's an annual event here in our tiny town of 196 people. Everyone would love it and I'd vote for it to win the trophy!

But I'd still like to sit in that cockpit and "wrap my azz in fiberglass". (It's still fiberglass, right.) They did get real gutsy breaking with the traditional old style.

C'mon guys, were you expecting some classic or retro-modern design like the new Challenger?

In all honesty for me it was COOL when Ford went Retro on the stang. After that it got old quick. Hot Rodders had been doing this for years. I remember someone taking a 89 Thunderbird and putting 49 Thunderbird front and rear on it. The guy wanted the modern day ride and power with the old school look.

Cpttango30 - if that's 'evolution' I for one don't care for it. That would be like the Marines 'evolving' back into sailors. Waaay too much Cadillac. Nothing agin Sailors or Cadillacs, just that a Corvette aint supposed to be either. You really think America's taste has spiralled down THAT far? Hope not.
Albtraum - a Vette is supposed to be a 'classic' as it rolls off the assembly line. Retro is pretend - a super car is real. I understand they come with 'butt warmers' in the seats, too, and automatic door openers so you won't chip your pinkie nails when you open the door.. Sorry, they ruined a fine concept. The retro Mustand and the retro Challenger actually do look great. Sting75ray - that '62 roadster is a real beauty! |

Need a new desktop? High resolution shots from the video game GT5 for the PS3. I'm going to download when it's available.
