Default texas new army bp revolver

just bought this gun. first bp. texas new army cal 44...richland arms co. on top of barrel.. a crest of some kind and pn with crest on top of it on side of barrel...same crest , pn and square with af inside it under cylinder...palm tree 972 on frame under grips.. brass frame steel octagon barrel ...anyone have information. all i could find was that richland was out of mich in 70 and 80's. can i use the prepackaged loads in a revolver like they use in long guns...thanks for help
