I don't know if you remember when the term Ballistic Coefficient first popped up in a gun magazine article - it was quite a while back. I do, because soon customers dropping by our gun shop for everything from .177 pellets to .22s, small or big game cartridges, even rifled slugs, were asking what the Ballistic Coefficient was. With one or two exceptions they hadn't the foggiest grasp of the topic, but I guess they thought it made them sound cool or something. Deciding to have fun with it, I'd just rattle off whatever number came to mind - 16, 157.8, or whatever. Nobody ever disagreed or showed any surprise, so who knows, I might've been right without realizing it.
