Default who knows about layout blinds?

I am thinking I want one for Christmas and need to do some shopping. I will use it for geese in harvested corn and soy bean fields as well as an occasional ditch pass shooting.

I saw the short list review in outdoor life but I would rather get some advice from non-sponsored guys.

Layout blinds? Do they just act as a type of camo? Ya know, I see all those tent stands people use on tv in fields and such; scratch my head? I guess they'd work for some situations; not for blk bear, ha ha. I've had numerous bear crawl up the tree & ladder my stand was in. No joke, my boy had a bear underneath the screen floor of stand, 16 foot up the tree. The girl that was sitting in the stand with him didn't like it either as she was taking picts, ha. The boy had the 44 out of holster and was about ready to hang over the side and shoot the bear, finally the bear went back on the ground. Boy said it was small, under 200 lbs and he didn't want to fool around skinning it out that evening. I saw the picts, ha ha.

The nice thing is when you get scared of the birds you can lay down and hide.

I used them in Canada and they worked great. Surprisingly comfortable as well. I don't remember what brand. Unfold them, put some of the stubble from the field you are hunting on them, and you are ready to go.
