Default Value Model 311D 16 Guage Shotgun

I have a Stevens Model 311D 16 gauge double-barrel shotgun I bought in 1969 just before being reassigned to Vietnam. I think I went dove hunting once just before deployment. It's been in a gun case ever since. There are just a few rub spots on the barrel, otherwise nearly new. It does not have a serial number. My barber would like to buy it but have no idea as to what to ask. Any suggestion?

Those usually run about $200-250 or so in average condition, but if it is like new, $300 would be about right. Those guns have no collector value; they are utilitarian hunting guns.

Up to the last part of 1968, serial numbers were not required by law and many inexpensive guns made before that don't have them. There is no problem if there is none.
