How do you know if you're in love, lust, or marriage?

LOVE when your eyes meet across a crowded room
LUST when your tongues meet across a crowded room
MARRIAGE when your belt won't meet around your waist, and you don't care

LOVE when intercourse is called making love
LUST all other times
MARRIAGE what's intercourse?

LOVE when you argue over how many children to have
LUST When you argue over who gets the wet spot
MARRIAGE when you argue over money

LOVE when you share everything you own
LUST when you think twice about giving your partner bus money
MARRIAGE when the bank owns everything

LOVE when it doesn't matter if you don't climax
LUST when the relationship is over if you don't climax
MARRIAGE what's a climax?

LOVE when you phone each other just to say "Hi"
LUST when you phone each other just to organize sex
MARRIAGE when you phone each other to find out what time your son's game starts

LOVE when you write poems about your partner
LUST when all you write is your phone number
MARRIAGE when all you write are check's

LOVE when you show concern for your partners' feelings
LUST when you couldn't give a rip
MARRIAGE when your only concern is what's on TV

LOVE when your farewell is "I love you darling"

Love and marriage is about
when you listen to music you BOTH enjoy and compromise to listen to HER stuff and finding out it is actually enjoyable IF you take the time to LISTEN

when you find things to do together by inviting her to try some of your favorite things and YOU try some of hers (eg cooking)

when you share in the "women's work" just to give her a regular break in routine

when you get each other to SMILE to help each other get thru the day

when you decide it is not YOUR money but OUR money- major purchases and small irregular purchase decisions are shared hopefully BEFORE they are made but if not possible explan WHY the quick buy was necessary.

when you take turns writing checks to appreciate just how much is needed to run your household

when you and your spouse pick together what to watch but have times where you each watch what you want-peprhaps when the other is doing chores?

when no matter how grey, wrinkled, or depondent you love her as the first time you saw her in her wedding dress or OUT of it with your daily actions toward her.

when you REALLY see her strengths and take advantage of them to get the family unit moving in a POSITIVE direction
