Stand your ground, don't let the media 'scare' you away (you know,MANDATORY evacuations). This media hype is as dangerous as a 'real' huricane.

This might be a whopper in shear s-i-z-e as much as power, a LOT of rain, wind, power out all that miserable stuff.

Well we threw in some new grass seed, Sandy might water it even way over here in NE Ohio.

So far I can only see this as networks trying to sell cat food and toilet paper.

In a couple or three days we will know whether to take it seriously.

Gee fellas this is just a barely a cat one. 80 mph winds, this isnt no different than issac. He sat on us for a long time. Wasn't bad. SO this storm is gona erode the coast, so what. We have that happen all time. Enjoy it. Especially enjoy it when the politicians say they dont want to rebuild it. Yea everyone needs to feel that joy. Liked your vacation house on the beach? Might as well destroy it cause if bozo gets another 4 years you will have to give it to bozo for a loaf of bread.

Im in one of those moods this morning, cant ya tell?

little pussy hurricane. OOOWWWW watch out your not gona have food for weeks. Roads will be shut down. Your all gona die and then you will get swept out to sea where the crabs will feast on your bodies. hahahahahaha

Just in time for holloween, this would make a great horror flick. The headless horseman rides thru the city in the middle of the hurricane going door to door and chopping heads off.

Yes looks like it will be bad next week. I will get the generator out tomorrow and fire it up to get ready in case. I am in NE PA in the Wyoming Valley and live 100 ft from the Susquehanna river. My house was under 20' of water in the Agnes flood of '72. That is what worries me more than the wind. If this thing stalls for any length of time ... Looks like it will be hitting us straight on.

Do I have to die and/or get et by crablings?
I mean.....is any of this impending doom optional?
I kinda had plans and all this dying a horrible death stuff is really putting a kink in it.

Agreed the hurricane is not an issue but there is another very large front coming from the northwest and they are saying that they will merge into the so called "Frankenstorm" Now if that don't scare the BeeeJezus out of ya. LOL Seriously, though it may merge with this front and the fear is it will stall for a few days dumping copious amounts of liquid sunshine on our bald domes. My dome cannot take so much.

I'll pass on your enlightenment. I have family and friends in Jersey. They got hit last year this time. They were without for weeks.
There is supposed to be a cold front coming with it. That's gonna dump a lot of wet heavy snow. They're looking at more than just beaches eroding.

too bad it didn't hit while they were filming jersey shore. I could deal with seaside heights being destroyed if snooki was washed out to sea. that said, my kid lives there. the ocean will meet the bay and probably cut a new inlet to boot. Heck, been through a couple of nasty nor'easter that did a lot of damage. Loss of power will be the main issue, jersey central power and light are clueless. and don't forget, they have the oldest operating nuke plant in the country on lacey township, oyster creek, built in the 60's.
best get out the gennie. bet there isn't a loaf of bread or gallon o milk left in the stores by now. if you live up that way you know what i mean.

The good thing about being without power this time of year, it isn't 95 degrees with 90% humidity. Well, the humidity may be there.

Its no fun being without power. The last bad one we had we were without for 13 days.

Ya'll be careful and keep your powder dry.

HA! A man after my own heart!
The "snookie" factor is what matters......think of the incredible numbers of germs, viruses and diseases which could be eliminated if this creature was washed out to sea and consumed by jellysquishes and trailerbites.

Just saw the weather report--SNOW in most of West VA. Here along Chowan River NC rain and light winds at this time still have power.

I'm sure the oil companies will figure an excuse to jack up prices at the pump because of this somehow.

My folks are in PA, I hope this sucker peters out; looks like lots of folks are gonna be wet!

I honestly hope no one gets hurt or has a hard time.

I do get in moods about hurricanes. I have seen too much and heard too much from politicians. Not only is the hurricane bad enough with the challanges it brings but then you do have long lines for food, power, gas. Oh gee the gas, yea they limit you to 50 or 75 dollars worth and you have to drive hours to find it. Look I am just sick of it and damage to the beach and lifestyle. Yea they put me in a mood.

But you all stay safe, believe me I know exactly what your gona go thru. Keep this in mind. It will get better. And if a politician tells you it cant be rebuilt just punch him in the noise.
