Default shooting question

Today at the shooting range I was shooting my reloads for my 270 cal. I was shooting speer 130 gr. BTSP with IMR 4350. I started at low charge and worked my way up. 1.5 Inches high at 100 yards but as I worked my way up with my charge weight my bullets would shoot lower and lower to when I got to my last three reloads I was shooting dead on at 100 yards. Can anyone explain?

Your rifle recoils during the bullet's flight down the barrel. A slower load exits the muzzle after more barrel rise than a faster moving projectile. This is very apparent in handguns--a 230 gr. ball load in a 1911 shoots way higher than a 200 grainer.

You are just seeing the "equal and opposite reaction" at work.
