She actualy told me, "daddy move over I want to do it"
![]() She does it all, even adjusts the powder thrower, Using the scale. till it's right on. And then every 10 charges. she checks it again. Brings a tear of pride to my eye. Every time. She wants her own reloader for X-mas. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Kudos ! too many young girls and boys for that matter are growing up without self-confidence; it's very evident that you're instilling it in her !

Well done!
Just let her know that telling her friends and teachers that she makes ammo may get some attention. Unwanted attention by some, bring it on by others. Been there, done that. |

I belive firearms saftey should also inclued reloading not just the proper way to handle a gun. but how it works, and how to dismantle it.

very cool!
my oldest is 4-1/2, got him sorting shotgun hulls and brass with me so far. I'm sure the boys will be reloading by about 7 or 8; i think I was about 8 when I got to start actually loading shells on my dad's equipment. It blows my mind that there are a ton of people in this country that not only don't own firearms, they wish to take them from us! What a great freedom we have, I just hope our young ones will be able to grow up with as much or more freedom to shoot/reload, etc. ahh... look at me, getting all misty... been listening to too much Portland radio last couple weeks, it's all I can get up on the mountain... as always, happy reloading! I'd get her a rockchucker, start her off right ![]()

Thinking of this thread while at the reloading press this afternoon, tought my 4 year old how to crimp .308 rounds today, ha!
Loading some fresh shells for elk season this weekend so let the little one operate the rockchucker once I had it adjusted correctly. He'll be a pro before long. Once I get him able to trim and prep brass I'll be really set.

I just love this pic time2shoot.
My youngest son is now in the Finnish Navy (he's a dual national and in Finland there is mandatory service). He is proud of what he's doing and he's a Gunners Mate in charge of the .50 cals on the ship. When he is discharged from the Finnish Navy he's telling me he wants to come join the US Navy. Bring them up right and they become valuable citizens who not only know how to take care of themselves but also know how to help others. ![]() Bring them up wrong and they become drug addicts and criminals...
