bought some bulk packed 6mm projectiles. box don'tmention 243 anywhere. ? |

According to Speer # 12, 243 Winchester and 6mm (AKA 244) Remington both use a 0.243 bullet.
Looks like it's all same/same to me.

Yup. Same diameter bullet for either cartridge.
Depending on the maker they'll be either .243" or .244" diameter. What weight are they? |

Use the same bullets in my 6mm284 and my savage 243. They are both 6mm cal.

ok thanks. I'd figure I'd ask the 'dummy' question vs blowing myself up.

There is nothing more convincing than measuring the diameter with a good caliper. If the 6mm diameter matches 243 then you are good to go. But I can tell you from experience that it will if the bullets are made to industry specs.

only reason I ask is I only recently started relaoding for 243, and only had 1 box of projectiles.. hornady I believe.. and it mentione .243(6mm) on the side of the box. and these other I bought just said 6mm.
I'll pull the micrometer out and drop a few of each between the jaws and see how they measure out. I have a feeling they are the same.. just thought I'd ask if others had seem any difference in some marked 6mm vs some marked .243(6mm) thanks to all |

Yes, they are the same. I also reload for the .243. The Hornady SST's I have are marked:
6mm .243 Mine are 95 grain. I shoot a remington 788 bolt action. The rifle is a tack driver. I'm a bad shot and it makes me look good.
