There was a sign on the front door that said "We support the second ammendment" You'd think that would be enough of a warning for the guy. Some people are just too stupid.

Here in MN the bank Pres. most likely would have been arrested.
Deadly force or the show of deadly force can only be used in the case of self defense or the defense of others in danger of death or grave bodily harm. It cannot be used in defense of property. He could claim he was making a citizens arrest, but that still might not keep him out of jail. Last edited by steve4102; 11-01-2012 at 05:15 PM.. |

he could argue that he thought the guy was going to buy guns with the money and kill people!
I love it when the bad guy gets a nice surprise to end his nonsense

Good ending for the bank. I wonder what would have happened if a customer was carrying and stopped the robbery with his own gun.

Good old Missouri Castle Doctrine at work there. I have to say that I think that we have pretty much the most 'inclusive' one of all. Since the fine fellow was in the commission of a felony and the bank president is considered to be "protecting" his property (i.e. funds left in his charge), you won't be seeing any charges being considered against him. Let's face it, in most "conservative" states like Missouri, most LEO's are just damned tired of having to deal with all the scumbuckets that breed like rats, most of them appreciate the hell out of incidents like these!
