Default Re: Wells Fargo Bank Denys Firearms Business Funding

I want to assure you all in TheFirearmsForum.com that I officially represent Wells Fargo as a spokesman. Also, I want to emphasize that I joined this forum to make sure Wells Fargo’s credit policy for firearms-related businesses is clear. Wells Fargo does not prohibit lending to arms or armaments industry borrowers. Indeed, Wells Fargo has current relationships with several major firearms-related companies. In the particular situation discussed in this forum, we weren’t able to reach a credit agreement with the customer. I’m able to participate in a discussion here about Wells Fargo credit in general, but will in all likelihood refrain from any further discussion regarding particular customers.”

That sounds good to me Mr. Boehmer, I am sure you know your company's policy's. I would think that an anti gun lending policy would be in writing somewhere in the lending disclosures if it were actually a policy, am I not correct?

Gabe - You say Wells Fargo has no policy against extending credit to the firearms industry, although the Sioux Falls, SD Wells Fargo branch denied me business credit and noted specifically the reason for denial was because I am a member of the firearms industry. Sounds like an opportunity for me to pursue legal action. Maybe you don't have a written policy, but you clearly have an unwritten policy.

I am not going anywhere and I will continue to explain the specifics of what happened to me and my exact situation until Wells Fargo changes their unwritten policies of discriminating against the firearms industry.

Thanks,
Brandon

I find that Wells Fargo does have a FAQ on their site regarding identification of Wells Fargo shotguns.
I find that they have special deals for military; worldwide banking that waives ATM fees.

Can't find anything else on this -

Thank you, gentlemen, for giving your sides to this issue in a civil manner!
