So . . . will the Catholics riot and burn the US embassy in Rome and kill our Ambassador?

An atheist group at Dartmouth College (in New Hampshire) is planning an event aimed at disparaging the late Mother Teresa.

The group plans a full-out romp against Mother Teresa, calling her ‘a lying, thieving Albanian dwarf.’

They even plan to screen an anti-Mother Teresa film!!!

Does that sound familiar?

I'm Catholic, and while this really ticks me off, meh this is America, free speech, whatever. If they want to make some stupid, ignorant, inflammatory movie, go right ahead. At least I and other Catholics know the REAL story that Mother Teresa devoted her life to helping people who needed it, never asked for a dime.

I just wish there wasn't a double standard like when someone criticizes Islam, all hell breaks loose, but nope, it's okay to insult Christianity.

Seriously, as any historian knows, religious wars in Europe resulted in the deaths of millions. That was the reason our very wise founders tried to keep relilgion out of politics under the somewhat misnamed "separation of church and state." But Islam knows no such separation. In Muslim countries, the religion is the state and the state is the religion. It is the duty of every Islamic state to support Islam and to use its power to suppress other religions, including atheism, by imprisoning or killing infidels.

That is not really very different from the thinking behind the Spanish Inquisition, except that hopefully Europe and the Americas have put those days behind us, while Islam has remained a zero tolerance relilgion.
