Watched wild-eyed Commissar Cuomo sign his midnight masterpiece of a gun law, and as a former New Yorker my heart sank thinking of gun owning friends and relatives who'll be saddled with this thing - if court actions and appeals fail I know several who'll be pulling up stakes and leaving NY. They were willing to put up with astronomical taxes and such, but this law would be the last straw. Can't help but wonder how many NY based firearms companies - Kimber, Numrich, and Remington for example - might be thinking "Enough is enough...!" and are also contemplating moves - I'm sure back channel offers and incentives have already been received by them from gun friendly states. Wonder how many jobs would be lost in Yonkers, West Hurley, and Ilion NY?

I'm not certain these are unintended consequences, rather acceptable collateral damage.
Also seems to be an act to bolster his status in the socialist democratic party to promote himself as a candidate for P or VP in 2016.
