In September, the Chicago Teachers Union went on strike, shutting down the Windy City’s schools for 10 days. Many of those same teachers were in attendance on Nov. 10 at the Midwest Marxism Conference held at Northwestern University in Chicago. The topics of the conference were:

The Meaning of Marxism

Imperialism: Why Capitalism Creates War

Among some of the speakers at the conference was Jesse Sharkey, vice president of the Chicago Teachers Union. Another speaker who kicked off the conference was Becca Barnes, a Chicago teacher, who refers to American capitalists as capitalistic vampires. Barnes told the crowd: “The struggle here in the United States has entered a new phase. Nowhere have we pointed the way forward more clearly than here in Chicago with the teacher’s union strike.”
Parents please take note of this especially if you live in the Chicago area. Do you know what the schools are teaching your children? I would hope this information would cause some concern on the part of parents and grandparents not only in Chicago but throughout the nation. Don’t get complacent thinking that this happened only in Chicago, as it could well be happening in your own area without your knowledge. You owe it to yourself, to your children and to the future of this nation to find out what the public schools are teaching in your area and if indeed they are teaching socialistic philosophies then you seriously need to consider getting your kids out of the public schools as soon as possible! - Da Tagliare

They are teachers; they do remember that Marxism failed, don't they (or did they fail that test?)
It died under its own weight of Nannyism, just like our government is going to on it's present path.

Illinois teachers own this state. They retire with a pension of $94,000 a year or more. Their union buys the politicians. Superintendents routinely make more than the president of the United States. It is totally out of control.

I now work for healthcare and taxes. They are destroying this state.

Just wait; it will collapse, it can't continue at this rate forever. Just look at the bankruptcy of San Bernadino, Mammoth Lakes, Vallejo, and Stockton. Amboy is now privately owned, but it's only a couple of blocks long in the middle of the desert. No one lives there anymore.

Look what happened to Detroit!
