Default Help request from the Netherlands.

That's the headline on a private message I got from someone saying they were writing a paper on alcohol and firearms and wondered if I would take their survey. It had a link to the survey that I didn't go to. Has anyone else been contacted with this?

Have not seen it, but I would not ever click on any link in an email from someone that I do not know. No matter how innocent it might sound it could be a computer virus.

No, it's most likely a scam.

I got an email from them, the survey is about alcohol and firearms. I'm not going to open the link, but if they wish to visit the site here are my answers.

Yes, I drink alcohol.

Yes I own firearms.

No I never handle firearms while drinking alcohol.

Yes I hunt animals, and then eat them.

No I do not drink while I hunt animals.

I enjoy sitting around a campfire with other hunters, enjoying alcoholic beverages. We never drive, hunt, or handle firearms during or afterward. I don't believe half the stories told at the campfire. My stories are always true.

Hope this helps.

OK, OK, OK, I did it. It was a very basic survey about your feelings about how we compare to the Netherlands in regards to firearms ownership and age of alcohol consumption. Totally harmless.

Thats forum SPAM brother. And I first ive seen. All forms of span are not tolerated here. Anytime a new member PMs you asking you to visit something like that Report it immediately so they can be dealt with.

Harmless maybe, but not tolerated none the less. it is also against the regs here to have 2 different TFF memberships..

I got it. It was a link to a online survey basically asking a bunch of useless questions regarding the use of alcohol among under aged drinking and how they don't understand how minimum drinking age in the US is 21 but you can own a firearm starting at age 18 and how is that responsible. The questions were basically leading to this final statement of how they did not understand. I went to the link then blew out the source code and read though it. It was really harmless in fact but it had a agenda.
