Default What to get a shooter in the UK for Christmas?

I live in the US, but I'm involved in a Christmas present exchange on another forum, and my partner is a fella I don't know well, who lives in the UK. I was wondering if any of you kind folk have any suggestions for gift ideas. I have no idea what's legal over there. I know he has several rifles and shotguns, but while he used to be a hand gunner they are not legal there anymore.

I'd kind of like to get him something that he is legal, but maybe would be hard for him to find over there. Oh, I'm looking for something around the $25-$40 range.

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

That's a tough one if it's gun or knife related.

I asked a friend [UK]....just waiting for a response.
In the meantime....this was offered...:

"Hello Ozo...am sure he will respond.

Just wanted to say he sent me a fine dagger, from a long established Brit
family by mail...seemed no problem. I know they allow deactivated weapons,
but by post he will have to say..? And custom forms are online at U.S. Postal
site for printing in advance etc....as well as fees per package..?

I "think" I can say in advance safely that any "actual" real firearms, and
some things are prohibited...?

I have also received things from NZ from Enfield."---

Does he happen to own a Mosin? I've shipped quite a few sight adjusting tools for them to the U.K.

I'll think about it.
Where is he located? Is he into reloading? What other kinds of shooting is he into?
Henry Krank is a great place to shop online.

Second might be Midwayuk, although their service isn't as great.

Thanks guys!

He's in...
Haydock
Merseyside
England

Thanks for the links BlackEagle! I was thinking that ordering something from a UK based company was the way to go, but for some reason it never occurred to me that there are firearm related type of places there. Duh. I was thinking a fruit basket or something. Ha ha.

He has several rifles and shotguns. Does he reload? Does he stalk (hunt deer)? What calibers?

His local gun store is probably Rainford Fieldsports

If you want a guide to what will or won't ship, try a major online dealer; see if they would ship an item to the UK.

I like dealing with Henry Krank; they have recently upgraded their website. If I order something Monday it is with me by Thursday at the latest; usually one or two day delivery, for a flat £4 (@$6.40) fee, regardless of how much I order, within reason.

NB: We are about 5 hours ahead of US East Coast time.

Thanks for the help BlackEagle! I ended up finding some good loot on Amazon.uk that I think he'll like. And free shipping in the UK. Sweet, and I was all worried about the cost to ship something there, when I could just buy it there in the first place. Wonderful technological age we live in.

Looks like you got it worked out. I was going to suggest a gift card from some place in the UK.
