Hey all, I have recieved a mossberg 500 20ga as a gift.I don't know history but when I shoot it, the action will not come back after firing round unless I press the release lever on the side as you would when you would unload it. I removed the trigger mechanism and did not see what would release it when fireing and was wondering if anyone had any idea's. thanks in advance.

Hi Marlin
What it sounds like is your action lock is not disengaging when fired. This is on the trigger system on the left hand side. If you are not use to working on guns then you should take it to a gun smith because this kind of fix if not done right could cause the action NOT to lock which is not a good thing. Mike |
