Try using a clean up program, I like CCleaner.

Well, all was well and I came back to the computer an hour later and its doing it again. As for running these "cleaners", how do they do running with your existing security programs? I have never had much luck trying to run more than one at a time....

CCleaner is a run once and done kind of thing it is not a program that runs all the time like your AV program.

You just fire it up run it and clean things up a little then shut it down. It doesn't interact with your other security programs at all unless you got some uber crazy ones.

Tell me have you ran Malwarebyts or Super Antispyware? If not go get one of them they are free and run a deep scan it takes a while 15+ minutes to run then have it clean things up.

Open up firefox and hit CTRL+ Shift+A at the some time. Now disable all of your add ons one at a time and restart the browser after you disable each add on and then use the browser for a while to see if it happens. If it gets stable after you turn one off then that is the culprit. See if you have an update for it.
