Default Kitchen project - 90% complete

Some of you remember the kitchen project I started in July -- strip old wallpaper, paint, and hang new wallpaper. After a long delay caused by my surprise marriage and the chore(?!) of combining two households, I have finally returned to the project and am about 90% complete.

In this pic, we had not yet put on the new cabinet handles, and you can see behind Bob's head that I still lack wallpaper on the section of wall above the countertop and below the cabinets. I also lack new curtains (although Marlin has hung the pull-down shade to go behind the curtains ) I also lack some touch-up painting here and there.

Just to remind you ... here's what it looked like before. Although the cabinets look yellow here, they were actually a really horrible shade of tan. And the green of the lower walls was so dark it was almost black. Obviously, this was taken midway through the stripping process.

Bob climbs the ladder ANY time that it's out, even if folded and against the wall. He likes to get up high and observe the world from, what he thinks, is a superior position!!

It looks TEN times as gorgeous as the picture shows and the improvement is hard to put into words. Gorseoud room from the mind and hands of a gorgeous lady, my Precious!

I built my own kitchen cabnets. It was quite a chore, but they turned out allright. I read a book first.

The cat......is cool!

Mike, want to join me in my new interior renovation business?

Bob is indeed a cool cat. He's a 13lb, spoiled rotten, lap kitty. Here he is giving my neurotic cat, Sheba, a bath:

I'll admit, i like cats a whole lot better than dogs.......

I think all cats are lap cats, they love attention.....and they also love giving it too.....especially when i come home drunk......little bugger loves to try and lay on my face.....i have no idea what thats all about?

We decided to gut and rebuild our whole house. We ran out of money, I had a heart attack (minor), and we lost momentum.
It's bin 4 years now. Joy is still workin in her "temporary" Kitchen
