jimmy,
Welcome to the forum. Pull up a stump and join in the melee.

The ban will expire sometime in Sept.

Bush has said that if it comes(renewal),across his desk he would sign it, but I think that was to keep the anti-gun crowd under wraps as he is quite Pro-gun. That and the Congress being mostly Pro-gun I don't think it will stand much of a chance of it going by them, let alone seeing the Oval Office. Even if it does though, I don't think GW will sign it *crosses fingers*.

Angry Bush is "quite pro-gun???"

Uhh.. whatcha smokin' pal??

Bush may be pro-hunting and pro-target shooting, but he is not pro-gun.

Maybe as governor he supported the CCW law in TX, but as president he is being more "waffley" than I'd like.

I'd prefer to hear him say "if a renewal of the AW ban comes to my desk I'LL TELL CONGRESS TO SHOVE IT UP THEIR COLLECTIVE BUMS!"

Ok, guess I have just not heard where he threw his support in the anti-gun direction, that's all. If there was please let me know. I don't like to be misinformed.
