I have this memory of when i was a kid i saw this dog that had its tongue stuck to its owners back bumper.......
His master told him several times what a dumb dog he was and then proceded to slowly drive home...... Not to worry though.....the roads were icy mike |

Guess I'll pull through here. This morning when I got off work the thermometer plunged down to 40 and I had to crank up the heater in the truck. After it blew all the dust out it warmed up right fine, though. The high for today isn't expected to break 75, but since I'm sleeping days this week I'll just pile on an extra blanket or two. I hate these Artic fronts.

They're forecasting us to get 12"s or more of snow tonight. I'm getting to old for this "sheet." ![]() |

In the 40's here today. Sun shining and all that stuff. Most of the snow has melted here, but the mountains still have plenty.
I imagine Bogus Basin is doing a brisk business with the ski nutz. berto

DesertDemon, you reallly know how to hurt a guy. Born & raised in Southern Nevada, and now stuck in central Washington. I DON'T LIKE THIS! It has just started to snow on top of the rain we had an hour ago. Blaaaah!

Truthfully I've never minded the cold, but all that rain and sleet and snow and ice. . . I'll just stick to the desert.

Woke up to snow again today. Still falling lightly but melting as it lands. Shouldn't be here long.
Getting a new motor put in my old chebbie peekup. The original 283 finally lost the lobes on the cam and was missing on 2 cylinders. Only has 140,000 miles on it and never been touched till now. Hopefully the 350 I'm putting in will last that long. berto

I have to hose the ice off the windscreen of my car to go to work at 5:30 am perhaps twice in a year. I have never seen snow, and the ice I'm talking about is really a hard frost. I've seen a thin crust of ice on a bucket of water left out ovenight, but never a frozen pipe. That's about it! And as I say, "I can count on my fingers the number of time it gets that cold in any one year". What it does do here in winter is rain. Not heavy, but squally and wet with strong winds. An inch in one day is a very wet day, but it usually comes in short sharp squalls on and off all day, or if there is no wind, a fine miserable drizzle. But cold in your terms----no.
