Is it possible, when you are reading a post, and someone has a link in it, to have the link open in a new window?

This might be something Tac can change. It sure would be handy.

interesing idea, but personally I find the BACK button to work as well or better.

my 2 cents worth
In this age where truth is fleeting and mass manipulation is common, the ability to detect when something doesn't make sense is a valuable one.

It comes in very handy when you click on a link and let it load up while you can continue reading posts. It just opens another window. I have used other sites that have this.

You can always right click on a link, then select "open in new window".

Good info folks, thanks for helping this member as I've
been tied up non-stop almost 20hrs a day lately.

I believe in the EZ help forums located near the bottom of
our main page drop down box there is info that shows the
code for posting a link in a new window.

SkiingFool---THANKS, that's what I will do.
Like warpig said, I like to have another window open when the download is taking place, so I can continue viewing in this one. Sometimes it takes a while to download a site.

P.S. My BACK button works fine also, I just don't care to wait.

You have to use to use html tag like the example below:

<*a href="Site url here" target=_blank>EZBOARD</a>

Remove the * and replace "Site url here" with http://www.ezboard.com (without spaces) to make it look like:
EZBOARD

The key is the target=_blank.

"They that can give up essential Liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither Liberty nor safety." (...Benjamin Franklin, 1759)

OR with EZCodes

*link=www.ezboard.com newwindow]EZBOARD[/link*
Replace the leading * with [ and the ending * with ] and you should get this:

EZBOARD
