Default i.j. skeeter

smokin guns,
the iver johnson's arms & cycle works skeeter double barrel shotguns are the highest quality double manufactured by them.
they were manufactured in all the popular gauges 12, 16, 20, 28 and 410. the 16 and 28 are the rarest with the 410 being the most sought after today. total number manufactured may never be known as there are no factory records on the shotguns known to exist. they were manufactured between 1930 and 1941 there were few options available as most things were standard, the most often seen option is the 'miller single trigger' barrel lengths are 26 and 28 inches. i don't remember the chokes at the moment.

the lowest price i have ever encountered on a skeeter was a few year ago $1295.00 for a good condition 12 gauge. i have also seen them priced as high as $3500.00 for a excellent condition 410. the blue book only list $400 to $1295, standard catalog of firearms list $500 to $2000 and gun digest modern gun value list $1000 to $1500, but they are bringing a whole lot more than those prices.

Thumbs up

Thanks G.b! It's featured at GB now...I've got an interest in it, it's got a few flaws...but, a .410 double barrel has a strange appeal to me...
