Default Band of Brothers. This Sunday night on the History Channel. One of the best shows!!

Excellent news for all of us who refuse to subscribe to HBO due to their degenerate programming.
Band of Brothers has a Saving Private Ryan feel to it. This is great stuff indeed. I used to have HBO ,until I cancelled it and just kept basic cable, which includes the History Channel. I could not stand HBO and their support for filth.

Thumbs up

Band of Brothers, Excellent show!

You can get it at Wal-Mart for $80.00 on DVD or something like $65.00 at Fry's Electronics! I'll double-check and let ya know!

I'd rather purchase it myself and not bother with the VHS Rec.!

Funny!!! HBO made that series and we recorded it when shown. HBO may have it`s moments, that series was one of them.

Bought the DVD set when it first came out. Tin box and all. Great set, have watched it all the way through three times now. Don't have HBO so never saw it until I bought it!

I watched the first part last night. I've never seen it before, because I'm too cheap to buy the set on DVD or video, and like you I can't stand HBO and their degenerate programming.

Commercial breaks annoy me, but I can live with it. My question, though, is whether the version on the History Channel is the same as HBO showed (or that's on the DVD). Are they editing anything out? I noticed they had some "strong" language that the History Channel probably wouldn't normally play. But is everything else the same?

It appears to be identical and includes the language used in proper context. I really enjoyed it alot.
