Believe that was a test platform for a type of triple fire(barrel reciprecates[?]) AK.
May or may not be in production in Russia, but not for the common man. If so, was very impressed by what I saw on it.
ZERO recoil and the triple fire.....placed more in/on the target.
Pretty slick in design.....hard to explain.....three shots appeared to be on target better, than our tri-burst.
New my memory was bad....two shot burst.
Caliber: 5.45x39mm FMJ or JHP
Payload: 30 box mag
Rate of Fire: Single, Two Round Burst at 1800 rpm or Full Auto at 600 rpm
The Abakan is a revolutionary new assault rifle design that has been adopted by the Russian Federation Military as its new main battle rifle. It features an ingenious blowback shifted-pulse recoil suppression system that allows the operator to fire his first two rounds before any recoil is felt. This ensures an excellent first shot/hit probability and is designed to save ammunition by eliminating the need for long full automatic bursts to try and hit targets.
