Default magazine mods?

anyone ever attempted to mod a 10rd mag to higher cap? of course just for research purposes... then you would of course put it back to original, you know, just to see if it could be done

I haven't, but I have heard of a ten round 10/22 mag on the market, that will conveniently break if you stuff more than 10 rounds in it, allowing you to put many, many more rounds in it.

theres also a 10/22 mag that is really common that all you have to do is drill out a plastic peg and presto 30 round mag

how about pistol mags, seems like they go down to a certain point and 1/3 of the clip is left to be filled

That last 1/3 of the magazine (not clip) is where the spring resides. You always have to leave room for the spring.
