In addition, I believe both Ithaca and Remington Rand used two different rollmarks during their manufacture of the A1.
I know that RR used three different name & address rollmarks on their slides. |

Yes, RR slides are referred to as type 1,2 and 3. The M 1911A1 marks, the style and spacing of the letter characters, can determine the maker.
When I carried this one I didn't know doodle 'd squat about them. Often wondered what the make was. ![]() |
