Has anyone tried reloading these or know if the components are even available?

Remington used to sell the loaded cartridges (30-30, .308, 30-06), but I don't ever recall seeing the sabots available for reloaders.

Saw an ad in Shotgun News for a place that sells sabots. Link didn't work. But here it is. www.jdcomponents.com

Thanks guys. I talked to a couple guys who tried this on a varmit board. Nothing but bad reports so I guess I'll drop the idea.

Just for fun and for plinking...never tried any serious target or varmit shooting, though.

I did shoot a chipmunk with one, though. He was sitting inside a rotted-out tree stump. The shot was from about 10 feed, through the side of the stump. All that was left of chippie was about 1 inch of tail.
