Got put on active moderation over there (my posts go to the moderator first then to the thread). Here's the e-mail from the latest debacle

So obviously Kerry's site does not believe in the 1st amendment either.
Why does that come as no surprise? Just a bunch of sheeple, who don't want to be disturbed with any facts.

Any kind of infiltration of the bolshevic's site will be detected. It should be used for recon only and then the public should be exposed to his communist positions. It is the only way to prevent the marxist takeover of our nation by this wreched bolshevic pretender.

You just have to be more subtle in your approach. Tell them that there is proof that Kerry is so very much smarter than is Bush. After all, Kerry figured out how to get out of VietNam in 4 months, while the rest of his class (those who survived)had to spend a full year. Kerry realized that military regs allowed him, as an officer and a gentleman, to write his own recommendations for awards and get them issued.
Kerry was astute enough to know that heading the anti-war movement would garner him much publicity and that his name would (almost) always be spelled correctly. Kerry was smart enough to know that no one would ever challenge him on meeting as a private citizen with officials from a country with whom we were at war, even though that is against the law and military regulations. All this just shows that Kerry has the intellegence it takes to be a leader of a country. After all, he has never been caught going to finishing school in Moscow, nor with an intern under the desk. See how easy it is? That was fun. Pops |

Being politically correct sucks. I make it a point to not be politically correct as often as possible. If people are offended by it, they're too sensitive and need to just get over it.

Isn't it amazing how liberals are such the champions of "free speech," yet when put to the test, they cannot stand any dissenting debate? "Free speech" to them really only applies to "non-conservative," "anti-Judeo Christian," etc. speech. I too make it a point to be as un-"politically correct" as possible, every chance I get. To me, people who are preoccupied with "political correctness" are just a bunch of bedwetting, spineless, unprincipled wimps who cannot handle truth if that truth contradicts their handy little canned views of life.

I'm not dissing anybody here, but it's a pro-Kerry board according to the rules you published. I don't see why you were surprised by the deletions, since any board like that (and like this) is privately owned and run, and free speech DOES NOT APPLY to such venues. The moderators determine whether posters are following the guidelines because they are mandated to do so by the PRIVATE OWNERS of the board. Don't expect free speech to apply in places where the discussion subjects have been purposely limited by the owners so that people of similar values can feel safe to congregate. There is room for such places in the world. Their right to limit disrupters can be very welcome in some cases. Private property rights are just as important as free speech rights. Ask the Russians...
By the way, they probably thought you were being racist toward one of their important constituencies by using the word 'segregation' in connection with your description of beer-drinking bums. If you've watched enough episodes of COPS you've probably come to the same conclusion I have -- trash comes equally in all creeds and colors. And if the PRIVATE board guidelines say you may not ridicule, then you may not ridicule -- though my guess is they give much more latitude to ridiculers of the Bush administration. The Democrats have been so mean these last few years that it has become their "new normal." Still, the moderators get to decide what is out of bounds in the "private club" of a forum they pay for. When they bought the domain name, it ceased to be a free speech zone.

Offeror, I'm aware that its a private forum, but there is also a glaring double-standard too. They'll delete one of my posts for talking badly about liberals, Kerry or Feinstein but a liberal poster can be outright derogatory towards me or other conservative posters/politicians without even worrying about getting deleted. I'm not surprised, but it is irritating

Offeror, you pretty much took the words out of my mouth.... errr.... keyboard, as the case may be.
That's a private forum and they set the rules. Just as we don't like certain "pot stirring" here, I'm sure they have their own set of values that they want to see adhered to. I generally don't advise going over to another board just to troll or cause trouble. We don't appreciate it here or on any board that I frequent, and I would extend that same courtesy even to my political enemies. I don't think that it does any good for anyone. That's just my opinion, take it for what it's worth. |

Marlin, I hate trolls too. I'm just conversing with the liberals trying to find signs of intelligent life
I don't go to any board with the intention of causing trouble, but sometimes it happens anyways ![]() |

I don't see the point of traveling to that communist board other than to gather intelligence and perform recon on the enemy in an effort to educate the public. Obviously that board has an overseer and censor, so I would try a different form of political activism. There are many.
