Default Pawn shop treasures

I found a new pawn shop yesterday. they had two three screw Rugers, a 22 and a 357. They also had a Marlin camp carbine with the 12 round Marlin clip(9mm). It occured to me while in there, how many other people get excited about finding a new place to shop for treasures like that? I think I need to make a bumper sticker for myself, like the old ladies have, but mine will say "I brake for pawn shops".

Seldom pass one up, even when on the road. Small towns seem to be the better finds in todays world of the internet, ya just never know what may turn up...

These smaller shops can also hold interesting characters like Interstate...

For me, both pawn shops and antique shops have an almost “irresistible” draw to them. You never know what you will find. Then again, I didn’t know that what I had, was worth that much. They want WHAT for that?
But then, I love to dicker.

Me too,pickenup.

Only problem is,right now w/$$ bein' a little tight, there's a couple of P-Shops that I frequent that always has something I like,so I'm having to stay away until I can get some other things paid off.

Antique shops are another story.I can browse all day just to see what some of my "stuff" is supposedly worth.

Don't you hate going into a flea market, or antique shop, and seeing something you remember throwing away years ago and now they want a weeks pay for the one in their shop!

I always find junk in pawn shops and antique shops. I guess my expectations are too high. Everytime I walk in , I expect to see Dornitz's personal Krieggsmarine Luger for $100 in 95% condition.

I think Pensacola has more Pawn shops than gas stations. It seems like every time I turn down a new street there's more pawn shops I didn't know about. One of these days I'll hope in the car with a wad of cash, and .358 Winchester to ride shotgun (since he knows the layout of the town and all) and just go out and buy a random something from a few random pawnshops. I'm glad I only take things away from them, not make "deposits".

Could that be due to the Naval Air Station????
