I own the 9mm and other than a crappy trigger which you'll get used to I love the gun. I've had no problems.

Well I bought a taurus 145 3/rd generation with the two dot aiming so far I have had no prob. with it at all I have fired over 2000 rounds through it so far no jamming or miss fires
I carry it every where I go fits comfortably in my belt .( the only thing I don't like about it is the safety , I see no reason for it at all,) thanking off the safety in a life and death situation could get you killed .. BUT THAT IS JUST ME

I had the pt140 and had major problems with the mag dropping out roughly every third shot. I just assumed my thumb was grazing the mag release which is very possible considering my grip style and the location of the release button but I've read several other threads with people having the same problem. So I'm not really sure what caused it. I can say my two buddies that were shooting with me when I first got it had no problems with the mag dropping out so I figured it must have been my thumb hitting it. BTW I realize the OP asked this question roughly 8 years ago but if someone else in the market for a pt100 series reads this then maybe it'll help out.

I carry a Taurus PT24/7 PRO C DS in .40 that has around 1500 rounds run through it, and it eats whatever I put in it, never a problem. A little heavy with 15 round mag.

I have the PT111. I agree the trigger pull is terrible but for a defence gun I'm ok with that. One thing for sure is you won't have any accidental shots with a trigger pull like that. If I had to do it all over I would have bought the new compact Ruger although I have never shot one. Gallery of Guns gave it high marks but then again Ruger sponsers some of their show.
