Just received this from a friend, regarding their daughter. Jenny is in Germany, awaiting orders for Iraq (second tour.) She was there for the initial push out of Kuwait and was rotated out when the 81st went in.

Jenny needs some healing prayers. Yesterday she was in Bamburg doing some shopping and was attacked by two Turks. Nothing is broke, but her right shoulder and arm, and her left leg from the knee down are severely bruised, swollen, and painful. The only good thing is that xrays were done...obviously....and they FINALLY showed stress fractures from Basic Training. The little squiggly lines on the xray, where there should be solid bone, are responsible for her on and off foot swelling and pain. They gave her some arch supports, therapuetic ace bandages, and a soft shoe profile. Once the new injuries heal, if she still has problems from the stress fractures they will "drug her up, go in there and do something".......I don't know what THAT means. She's drugged up enough already. And I have no idea what surgical procedure there is for stress fractures.

I received mail today from Jenny's mother, thanking you all for your kindness. We'll keep you posted on her progress, but it won't be rapid. These stress fractures are now almost two years old and will not heal rapidly.

I would like to thank all of you for your kindness in offering prayers for my son, Sean, while he was active in Iraq and upon his return while in the hospital in Madigan. It's good to have friends.
