Or handloading some light target loads with 185gr bullets? If guns are outlawed, can we use swords? Tac401 Administrator Posts: 567 (4/8/01 9:09:06 pm) Reply | Edit | Del Re: Rate Of Fire -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alpha, I don't want to really use light loads, I still would like to use combat loads, there is a way to do it but it's a pain in the ass, I was thinking the same thing as you mentioned with a heavier recoil spring but it takes a different type spring than the semi auto gun does but I may try a modification to one of the original springs, if not I'll have Andrewski do it, he's about the best there is in class 2. I love it on 9mm but 45 is wicked fast when I switch over. The target ammo seemed to slow it down to around 400rpm. and we were actually able to perform single and 3rd. burts while having the selector on Full Auto. We used 3 different brands of ammunition to run our test with, of the 3 brands we used American Ammunition CO. 115gr. FMJ, PMC-115gr. FMJ and UMC-115gr. FMJ. Out of the 3 brands tested 2 of them failed to perform, American Ammunition gave us 1 dud and 2 jams & PMC gave us 1 dud, the UMC ran flawlessly. The 9mm is fine where it's at, my main concern is to slow down the ROF of the.45acp, it's so fast that you can't really do a proper burst with it, I was wondering if as you suggested a little higher spring tension would do the trick, or maybe a custom heavier spring might work? They milled 4 slots and then added the metal. cpermd Tac401 Administrator Posts: 4024 (3/31/02 5:08:31 pm) Reply | Edit | Del Re: Bolt -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you find out who can do this for me or where please let me know. It was done by a shop in Springfield MO that balances cranks and does block work for AA and Top Fuel Dragters. The key is they balance crankshafts and use Mallory metal. Find a Racing engine shop that does cranks. cpermd Tac401 Administrator Posts: 4174 (4/18/02 5:27:22 pm) Reply | Edit | Del Re: Bolt wt -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks CP!
