Default American Spirit Arms AR-15 parts???

Anyone familiar with the quality of AR-15 parts and especially the upper parts gun kits from American Spirit Arms at www.gunkits.com ?

I am building a California Legal FAB10 (flat top with 24 inch barrel for target shooting) and need a source of AR-15 parts. The complete upper kit with everything to finish the FAB10 (including trigger and recoil buffer parts) is included. They have a gun show presence in So. Cal which is nice (Arizona company).

OK. Forget it. I bought my 24 inch Walther barreled flat top upper from them at the gun show. When questioned they answered all questions correctly, so I bought it there.

I have had an ASA 16" model for about 5 years and love it. Sold my Colt and kept the ASA. Plus I live here in AZ where they are based and the 100% no questions warrenty is nice, even if I have never needed it. Thier quality is top notch.
Enjoy,
Jason

I am now impressed after the break in shooting. While doing the shoot one clean, shoot two clean etc. routine through about 50 rounds the gun was shooting really small groups. One group of four was like about 1/4 inch at 50 yards! This certainly will be a sub MOA gun once I work up some loads. The ASA upper is very nicely made and they seemed very interested in building and shooting accurate guns. I also like that it is father/daughter/ husband company that seems to care about the shooting sports. I think I made the right choice!

I have now installed a single stage JARD trigger from Brownells that reduced the trigger pull from over 8 lbs to less than 2 1/2 lbs. As this is really a varmint gun (flat top with 4-16 scope) for me that pull is perfect. There is no creep and minimal trigger over travel. The unit I bought is completely adjustable for sear engagement, over travel, and safety operation. The pull is a function of interchangeable trigger springs with several choice above the two pound level. This trigger is sweet. Got to get to the reloading bench to start the load development!
