We have a Savage Model 99 that was probably one of the first built. Its chambered in .250-3000 and has a rear tang sight instead of a leaf sight on the barrell. It belonged to a great uncle and somshow my Dad got it and now my brother and I have it. Any idea of how much it might be worth, not that we want to sell.

It's all about condition, and which variant. Could easily be well over $500.
Need more information.

I'll get my brother to write down the information on the barrel. I will even try and get a picture.
