Default Generosity of folks on the boards

As you know on both the boards, here at TFF and at brand x folks are constantly giveing things to other members.

I am always amazed at the generosity of the pople in our communities(internet).

I usually give to others because it makes me feel good, but yesterday I was on the recieving end of others generosity.

I am stunned and dont know how to express my gratefullness and appreciation for what some have done .

I would like to share with you what I have recieved as gifts from some of our members(here and at Brand X).

I wont mention names as I am not sure they want to be identified as being nice to me

Anyway I want to brag a bit (sorry) and share my happiness at these treasures I recieved.

In the past few weeks I have recieved:

an 1873 Springfield Trapdoor Carbine in excellant condition, all stamps and numbers are sharp and clear and the wood is excellant, along with it I recieved a box of BP loads for the carbine.
This gun is beautiful and fully shootable.

Yesterday I recieved a M1 Garand Stamped 1950 and all springfield parts.
Bore is bright and shiney, wood is near perfect and all parts are near mint.
I also recieved 25 clips for the Garand,, I am still in shock over this.

Also yesterday I recieved a CM560 Cardio Exercise Bike with elctronic heart monitor and controls. Fully prgrammable, one of our members knew I have had some heart problems and needed to begin an excersice routine and sent this to me.

I also recieved 150 rnds of .38 special ammo for the Rossi Lever Gun I am refinishing.

I also recieved some commenortive Bills (copy of currency) with our armed forces logos) that are currently in a frame and hung over my computer desk.

I am overwhelmed at this , you folks are the best.

I never expected to be the recipient of anything, much less the quality of these gifts.

Thank you all, it means more to me than I can say.

Mike(JuJu)

Hey JuJu..

Great to hear you got the commemorative bills.

Knowing you is a priviledge and as you nominated Silent Knight for the bills - you "accidently" nominated yourself as well.

Some forum-members just wants YOU to be on the receiving end too. =o)

Sounds like your random acts of kindness are being rewarded. Couldn't happen to someone more deserving.

If my late Grandparents taught me one thing it is "what goes around, comes around" so look at it this way, it is time for it to come around to you since you have been so generous yourself. Enjoy and have fun. By the way I have a 1873 45/70 full length Springfield Trapdoor in near mint condition. Any recomendations on ammo brands?

Have you ever seen the movie "Pay it Forward"? It kinda fits...

JuJu, did you ever get my update email? I leave for NM in ~5 hours so the work will come to a stand-still for a bit but it's looking very promising.

Charlie, should I bring my 1873 Winchester 22 long as well! If the loading tube comes in this week I might just bring it to shoot. Bought it cheap but sometime past down the road some one lost the loading tube. They plugged it off and made a single shot out of her. Made in the early 1880s I believe. Actually found a man in Maine, thanks to Bert H., who makes reproduction loading tubes and ordered one this week. I am bring an interesting shooter though that has some history!

I got some 30/30 ammo here and no gun to shoot it in. I'll bring it for you guys to shoot up as long as I get the brass back to reform into 32/40's.

And, Charlie you need to bring one of your old 38acp's. I have some ammo maybe.
