Default We dodged a bullet today

Yesterday was the final day of our union contract at work. Negotiations have been going on for the past 2 months! Things are getting pretty slow at work, with lay offs and such and we all figured that concessions were coming this time.

Well we had our meeting yesterday, we are getting $1,50 hour raise over the next 3 years, with no loss in benefit's! We were all worried that we were going to have to start paying something towards our health insurance. Not the case, we are one of the very few in the area that do not have to contribute to our health insurance.

I am thankful that I work for a good company!

Congratulations, Pa. We're not union but we have to contribute towards our medical and eyeglass. Dental is paid by the company and I carry Charlie just on the dental at no cost. Raises are never guaranteed; usually 3% except if you do extremely bad or extremely good. If you get more it means someone else did bad and you got a share of theirs. Found my original Cutco cookbook. I'll bring it up. About 30 yrs. old!
