I found a good one the other day. I've been on vacation, so I've had time to cruise some gun shops I don't normally get to. Well, I found a High Standard Sentinal Deluxe revolver. It has the six inch barrel, 9 shot, double or single action. It was priced at $125. I got it and it is a fine shooter. I shot a box of Win. Wildcats in it and was very impressed. According to the blue book, this can shoot shorts and longs too. Sometimes you don't have to pay alot to get something good.

Yup, that's the one. Ever shoot shorts through it? I'm sure it would need some extra cleaning if I ever do. I like the gun. I just wish everything I wanted was in that price range.

Never shot any shorts in mine. Mainly because they cost more than LR here.
I don't think the previous owner did or at least not many as it loads the LR just fine

Lovely little gun. I shot balloon competition with mine while in Alaska in the middle 60s. Would sure like to have it back, but #3 son won't part with it.

That's the same revolver I traded a box of empty brass for years ago at the local Army Navy store.
I liked the nine shots & it was light to carry while hiking in the hills. Had a buddy that liked it & wanted to trade me for it. I ended up with a single shot 20 guage shotgun without a firing pin. Replaced the firing pin & now I have $60 shotgun.

Had one myself in the 60's. Somebody stole it. If it hadn't been stolen, you can be sure I would still have it. Great shooter. Why would you want to shoot shorts in it???? DF

There are times when you don't need the loud report of a LR and the target doesn't require the power of a Long Rifle. I have a S&W 63 that, when I'm hiking or camping, I often shoot shorts and even CCI CB's in it. The little field mice can't tell the difference.
