Default S&W Model 25-2

target sighted .45 acp

What is the going price to buy a S&W N frame 1955 model in .45 acp with 6.5 inch barrel. Has adjustable target sights.

Gun is deep luster blue, beautiful wood magna stocks, and no wear on the blueing...prestine condition...cherry shape.

Assuming the gun was made before 1957, every bit of $600 plus.

Doc, the gun has a serial No. 378XXX. One guy said it was probably made around 73 or 74.

When I say prestine condition it is as good as the day it left the factory. Wish I had a box to put it in, but will have to get a gun rug for it.

Oh, what is your opinion on the Astras are they a reliable firearm to shoot...won't come apart on me will it.

Thanks for the information on both guns, Doc.

Should have the letter N in front of the serial number, right? Crane marked 25-2, then? Take $100 off if so.

Stay with .44 Specials in the Astra. Never heard of one failing, but have heard some stories about wear and tear and parts are not that readily available.
