I am trying to fix a Jennings 22 auto for my son.
I think there is a spring missing. Can any one tell me what holds up the back of the trigger sub assy,

they sure sold a lot of j22's back in the day. They wear out quite easily. My wifes bryco 380 wore out the slide so bad it cracked.

To answer the question, the trigger subassembly is springloaded to keep the trigger bar tensioned upward. It rides along the frame and pushes the cam which in turn pulls the sear downward. The whole shebang is kept aligned by the grip panel.
