You have the Model 1909 variant of the New Service revolver - if you supply the serial number I'd be happy to provide date of manufacture. Originality and condition are the key to value on these. The serial number stamped in the crane should be between 30000 and 50000 (making mfg date c.1911-1912). The gun should have a 5 1/2" barrel and plain walnut grips. It should have a POLISHED finish, not the rough finish of the M.1917 New Service. Should also bear the RAC proof. Medium condition pieces like yours do not have the big-dollar collector appeal, but still should bring $500=$700. I will try to get a pic or two if I can. In the meantime it is pretty much as the AntiqueDr has described with a serial number of 38817. Finish is polished blue with 5.5" barrel and walnut grips as well. I will have another look see to see if I can locate the other markings you have descibed. It is currently in 80-90% condition as I had described. Shoots like a dream! Thank you all for your response. Have a great day! Six
