Well some of you saw the pictures of the 87 El Camino I bought my 17 year old son Joey and it is coming out of a $2000+ paint job to boot this week (man does it look sharp, factory color Black Cherry and I had black cherry metaflake(spelling) added to the first of 3 coats of clear coat as well, picture coming soon), I am buying my 17 year old daughter, Lenisa, a 95 Range Rover, and now my youngest son/child, Jesee, who will be 16 in Feb 2005 is probably getting a 85 SS El Camino as well this or next week. It has less than 80,000 actual miles, paint is excellent(black and silver stripes), no rust at all, interier A1, 350 motor(only sticking point with mother though, she was hoping for a V-6 Like Joey's!)and the SS El Camino is costing me $6000! Now that adds up to $15,000 spent on my 3 kids this year, Joey and Jesse did contribute between $2500 and $3000 each of their own, so I reckon all 3 are getting a real nice Christmas IMHO. I also have to find some smaller items to add under the tree as well! With the addition of the second El Camino, we will be insuring and driving 7 autos/trucks and 1 Harley. Insurance will be a night mare next year to say the least!
To those of you with young kids out there, I do not envy you because you will be in the same boat I am in right now some day. As I see it though, as long as you take care of your kids, nothing else matters. At least mine can say they did not do with out and yes you can say I have spoiled them but they have turned out OK so it was worth it IMHO. The money the 2 boys put out was money they earned loading all my late friend's estate ammo and guns. They worked their tails off so they deserve to be rewarded. Sorry to rant and rave on but cannot believe I am buying another El Camino this soon. Must be the cold weather change! By the way, got a good deal from an ammo dealer friend of mine today that might interest some. He has BSA bore sighters with the long shanks that go from 17 to 50 cal in a nice carrying case new for $50! I picked one up to save on sighting in scopes, especially on the 300 WSM I just traded for. Ammo for that lad is a tad bit HIGH!

That's great JJ! You have a couple of fine young men and a fine young lady, and you have every right to be proud of them!

Yup, it’s the cold.
You are getting brain freeze. Go inside and let your brain thaw out. They say you only get one shot at being a kid. Well, YOU only get one shot at “watching” them be a kid. Hope they enjoy their transportation.

Yep! You are absolutely, positively OUT OF YOUR MIND! Now, just to protect you from yourself, the next time you get the urge to buy an elCamino, send it to me. Mine needs a companion.

El Caminos in any shape are non-existant in this part of the country.
Great find!
