Default Venison Jerky

Just mixed up a batch of jerky for Pa to squeeze out onto the dehydrator in the morning. We're going to let it season over night this time. A few people have said it tastes better.

Kids will have it gone by tomorrow night. I guess I'll have to hide a little for myself

I agree Ma, the longer the better, I never marinade less than a couple days, I leave it in the fridge and "turn" the meat every so often.

Good luck on it!

Lesson 101 of Jerky:

Medical benefits of jerky...

My daughter in-law told me yesterday... That Nolan's doctor said, to buy some jerky.. Rinse the seaonsing off and let him chew on it for teething..

Hey Ma:
Ya know you are suposed to freze the meat for 30 days after making jerkey before you eat it.

It kills some nasty residents that are supposed to live in the meat???

Just repeatin' what I read on a new dehydrater a buddy got. It's directions say to freeze the meat for 30 days before dehydrating & consuming.

I dont know...Just what I read.

This batch was made from last years deer so it has been frozen much longer than 30 days. It does sound Logical, makes sence to me. The fresh stuff is already in the freezer.
