It looks like one of these Native American cave drawings.

Neil.

My son does metal scupture. Here's a snow-covered wildebeest he make several years back.

I like what you've started, but saw it as a rampant dragon. The GLASS head ain't gonna cut it. Nice work.

Clouder..

Neil, I really like this thing...I like this kinda stuff anyway.

Might I make a suggestion? As an amateur photographer I'd like to see it without all the background "noise". The surrounding items keep it so busy that you cannot appreciate or truly focus on the art itself.

If you had a black blanket that you could drape over the fence, down to the ground for your piece to sit on, I believe it would really bring it out.

Sorry to critique, I know your not doing photography, but I had to babble because I do not believe we are really "seeing" your work.

Nice piece!

Another suggestion, since we're offering ..... if possible, try to have diffused lighting so your lighting doesn't reflect on the metal.

I think any dark background would give the desired results Neil, sometime ya just gotta play with backgrounds and see what "works"...And as SoMo has suggested try to get as much light in the area as possible without shining directly on the piece (working out doors on a cloudy day is perfect) and kill the flash on this one after that indirect lighting is achieved.

I'm certainally no pro, have just always enjoied playing with this stuff.

You did well...Actually black may have been to much, in the first pic the steel was so brilliant that I mused that the steel-black contrast would be nice, but there is actually enough dark tone in the piece that it would have been too much in this shot.

See how it stands out better now though?

What kind of price would you put on this piece? Just out of courosity.

thanks for the advice.....stands out much better.
as far as price...That's pretty shakey ground. I would need to get about 1k to get my time and consumables out of it, but will probaly take a loss on it. I enjoy making them more than selling.

That dosen't sound like too much to me, the ghillie suits I make are really fun to make, but the amount of time involved runs the price up...Wish I had the money, I'd make you an offer on it just to put it out on the back lawn, alas too many toys already.

Good job
