On the other hand, Neil's project would look sweet in front of a small grove of bamboo in the back corner of my lawn. Neil, I saw a life size "Merlin" made by an artist friend of mine go for 1,400 in which the body was simply made out of a piece of driftwood, the cloak of rusty tin hammered to shape, holding a gazing ball much like the one in your picture...Total project time was less than an hour, so just being able to "see" the art in your mind sometimes overpowers any amount of time one could spend.
