A freind of mine buys them by the case They are mailed by regular USPS as they are inert until mixed together. Believe me when I tell you they are they most fun you can have while shooting with your clothes on. Takes a high powered rifle to set them off. A 22 or .22 mag won't do it. A 223 will do it fine . I go to "Toledo Torch" and get all their unrepairable propane tanks and turn 'em into swiss cheese with my SAR-1 AK-47!

Tennis balls are not bad. I live near a court and a large number of them find their way over my fence every day. Easy to clean up after a day of shooting too!

Coffee cans are cool too! Take the labels off so they glint in the sun and watch 'em fly 20 feet in the air!

Aerosol cans of any kind are always fun and maka big boom!!
wifes old hairspray, spray paint...etc.. and for you accuracy buffs, try a bic lighter at 100yrds + . If you want to see damage results from diff calibers try using a milk jug filled with water frozen solid. that's also fun! Last edited by Brob73; 03-01-2004 at 06:23 PM.. |

Liberals are few and far between out here in West Texas..so they have added a bag limit. Next Fall I'm afraid that they will make you purchase a 'liberal tag'. Maybe some other states would be willing to tranfer some of theirs down this way so that we won't run out.

well, as of lately I know the Warbler is protected, since I can't hike on the 50 bajillion acres of land designated as a Warbler refuge. I found one designated spot and after 2 dozen trips there, I've yet to see the stupid bird.
Liberals are protected during the majority of the year, but occasionally go on season with the Democrat representatives ditch their job responsibilities for their New Mexico hideouts when they don't get what they want. Nobody around to protect the Austin liberals then.. ![]() |

A friend of mine had purchased 500 acres north of Austin (around Marble Falls), and was in the process of clearing out the cedar so he could run cattle on it. The ranch was adjacent to a State natural area where there are bird watching stations, etc.
The State made him stop clearing cedar because it was endangering the golden cheek warblers. He fought it as best he could, but he lost. Ended up having to sell the 500 acres at a loss. Damn liberals! |

Sorry to hear that, problem was the land too close to Austin.
Out here we would approach in this fashion: If they are endangered then there can’t be that many left. Solution….shoot the birds…no longer endangered but rather extinct….clear trees….run cattle. |

I hate to take this thread further off topic, but 1952, when did he sell? I know someone was recently selling 4-500 acres near marble falls with house for what seemed like a less than worthy price. Curious if your friend sold recently. Regardless, I'm sorry for his loss on that land.. The land around Marble Falls is beautiful.

Yes, ducky, it was about a year ago, as I recall. He actually sold the land back to the person he bought it from... that 500 acres had been split off of a larger ranch. But he sold it back at a lower price than he bought it. It does have a house on it, and two old barns. It used to be a sheep ranch.

To get this thread back on track, I shoot mostly, if not all paper. When the occasion arises, a stray cat may meet the business end of a air-rifle. I wouldn't shoot to kill though.
