1 C. Coca-Cola
1 C. ketchup 1/4 C. worcestershire sauce 1 t. liquid smoke 3 T. A.1 Sauce 1 t. onion flakes 1 t. garlic flakes 1/2 t. fresh ground black pepper Put all ingredients in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil slowly. Cook until mixture has been reduced by a quarter. Cool to room temperature and refrigerate. If you like your sauce with a little more zing you can omit the black pepper and add your favorite spicers like habaneros, Scotch bonnets etc. The sauce can be sweetened up by adding a small mount of molasses to taste.

I use a similar mix...
DO NOT USe diet cola ...barf Also, We tried cherry cola - not very good. Lemon or Lime cola came out OK Vanilla cola - came out good. If I'm going to use it as a marinade, I'll put some meat tenderizer in it.

When we first started making it back in the fifties we would pour a 16 oz bottle of coke and a 16 oz bottle of ketchup in a pot and add ingredients to our taste.
Mollases helps make a good thickener. |

Most of my recipes start with a can of beer. In me, not the recipe. Don
