Default Howdy folks.......

Just stopped in to say hello. I'm going to be around for a couple of weeks and thought I would check in. I'm back up here in the north from down yonder in the south. I'm home and getting homesick already. I went for my daily walk this morning and missed the crunching of the sand in the desert washes. Damn concrete. There should be a law against concrete. Except in the dam upstream from my house, of course. Then, I would be walking in mud and that's probably worse.
After having a few things done to this old house, I'll head back south until April, probably. Or, until the roadrunners start jogging in the shade only. Then, it will be time to come back.
So, if you don't mind, I'll be reading and posting and laughing and grinning on here for awhile.

Thank you, thank you. No tall tales and lies to tell. Just old man stories, which are practically the same, I guess.
pickenup......how's the quail population coming? After I released all my quail and pheasants before heading south, 5 Bobwhites and 3 pheasants wouldn't leave, so my neighbor has been feeding them while I was gone. I guess they know a good thing.......

The population is doing good. Talk about FAT and SASSY, I didn’t know they could get so fat. They are singing or talking to me all the time. Good to hear that some of yours knew a good thing.

Some of mine “accidentally” got loose last summer. There were a few that ended up staying on the outside of the pen. I finally opened the door and let them back in. They knew a good thing when they saw it too.

"Muley Booger"........a perfect name for the back of my belt. I will wear it proudly. Only, my banker and the insurance man won't understand.
